Dvergr Lantern Crafting and Eitr Refinement Logistics in 0.221.12

Navigating Mistlands valleys and fueling advanced magic staves requires mastery over two key Dvergr technologies: luminous Dvergr Lanterns and the explosive Eitr Refinery. In patch 0.221.12, radioactive Eitr discharges deal heavy structural damage to standard wooden and stone building pieces. This guide details lantern crafting components, Black Marble containment shielding, and automated sap routing.

Crafting Dvergr Lanterns and stationary light poles

While Wisplights disperse mist in a moving radius around your character, they occupy the coveted utility belt slot, preventing the use of the Megingjord strength belt. Crafting Dvergr Lanterns frees your accessory slot for hauling heavy metals while retaining mist dispersal.

Dvergr Lanterns can also be placed as permanent architectural fixtures. Use copper and fine wood to build lantern poles along heavily traveled mountain passes and Mistlands cart trails, permanently suppressing dense fog without consuming ongoing fuel.

  • Requires Black Forge level 1 and an Artisan Table.
  • Consumes 2 Surtling Cores, 1 Dvergr Needle, and 5 Copper Scraps.
  • Disperses mist in a fixed 12-meter radius when hung on wall hooks.
  • Allows players to wear Megingjord or Feather Cape while navigating mist.

Eitr Refinery explosive radiation containment

The Eitr Refinery converts 1 Soft Tissue and 1 Sap into 1 Refined Eitr every 40 seconds. However, during operation, the distillation funnel violently discharges glowing green radioactive spark particles in all directions.

These sparks deal direct blunt and elemental damage to any player or building structure they touch. Standard wood walls crumble in under 30 seconds of refining, and regular stone blocks quickly fracture. Only Black Marble masonry possesses complete structural resistance to radioactive Eitr fallout.

Constructing an automated, safe refinery chamber

To run the refinery safely at your main base, dig a dedicated subterranean vault or build an isolated standalone tower lined entirely with Black Marble blocks. Leave a small feeding hopper accessible through an iron grate door.

Install angled iron cage floor grates beneath the output nozzle. Refined Eitr spheres will drop through the grate into an automated collection hopper below, allowing you to gather finished magical materials without standing inside the radiation hazard zone.

  • Line the entire refinery room with minimum 2-meter thick Black Marble.
  • Separate fuel loading chutes with reinforced iron cage doors.
  • Never place portals or wooden storage chests within 8 meters of the refinery.
  • Equip the Root Harnesk or Mage armor when manually loading Soft Tissue.

Throughput management and tissue harvesting

A full batch of 20 Sap and 20 Soft Tissue processes in approximately 13.3 minutes, yielding 20 Refined Eitr. Soft Tissue is best harvested by mining the ancient petrified giant skulls scattered across the Mistlands.

Store refined Eitr balls in reinforced iron chests rather than basic wooden crates, as dropped or loose Eitr spheres can occasionally emit lingering sparks if left floating on the ground.

Before you leave

Expedition checklist

  • Black Forge operational with level 1 upgrade.
  • Dvergr Needle harvested from Dvergr Rogues or fortress outposts.
  • Refinery facility constructed exclusively with Black Marble blocks.
  • Iron grate collection floor installed to isolate finished Eitr drops.
  • Adequate Soft Tissue and Sap reserves stockpiled for batch runs.
  • Portals and critical storage positioned safely outside the radiation radius.
