Editorial policy

Official release notes establish version context; current gameplay tables are cross-checked against maintained reference sources before entering public calculations.

Source hierarchy

Official Valheim announcements and default-branch patch notes establish public-release status. Maintained gameplay references provide item, food, comfort, crafting, biome, and boss details. Community questions and competing pages are discovery leads only; they may reveal a missing question but do not become calculation inputs without independent review.

Fail-closed data

Every calculation record needs a stable ID, public game version, ISO review date, eligible status, and source URL. Public Test, unversioned, disputed, or incomplete records remain outside current calculations. A preview note can be discussed only when clearly separated from default public guidance.

Guide originality

Guides are organized around a distinct user intent and add original checklists, route plans, trade-off analysis, and links to the site's versioned tools. The process does not copy sentences, reproduce distinctive competing outlines, reuse third-party images, or disguise a single-source paraphrase as independent work.

Review and correction

A factual change is traced through the source record, calculator, reference database, affected guide, review date, and patch log. Focused tests and the full static build run before publication. If evidence conflicts, the uncertain value is blocked or explicitly qualified rather than resolved by confidence alone.

Commercial boundary

Search demand helps prioritize useful work but does not justify thin pages, unsupported “best” claims, or mass duplication. Advertising remains disabled until the site has a stable identity, meaningful content, functional privacy controls, live performance evidence, and separate owner approval.
