Summoning ritual requirements and altar preparation

Fader is the ultimate seventh boss of Valheim, located within the obsidian crater biome center of the Ashlands.

Summoning Fader requires unlocking his grand sacrificial altar by inserting 3 Bell Fragments (retrieved from sealed Charred Fortress vaults) and 3 Ancient Emerald Gemstones into the altar sockets.

  • 3× Bell Fragments obtained from looting Ashlands Charred Fortresses.
  • 3× Ancient Emerald Gems mined from volcanic spires or fortress chests.
  • Establish a perimeter Shield Generator base with a portal at least 80 meters outside the summoning arena to ensure instant raid recovery.

Boss stats, damage types, and elemental vulnerabilities

Fader commands 25,000 HP, massive stagger resistance, and dual-phase emerald dragon attacks combining physical crushing tail swipes with piercing green dragonfire.

Vulnerabilities: Fader takes +50% amplified damage from Frost elemental attacks and standard Spirit damage, but is completely immune to Fire, Poison, and Stagger interrupts.

Phase 1 & Phase 2 combat mechanics

Phase 1 (100% to 50% HP): Fader alternates between 3-hit claw swipes, a 180-degree sweeping tail slam, and channeled green breath beams that ignite the ground into magma pools. Roll-dodge forward through his claw swings to attack his hind legs.

Phase 2 (50% to 0% HP): Fader channels Celestial Emerald Meteor Showers, marking ground runes under all players. Sprint continuously in wide circles to avoid direct kinetic impact, and immediately destroy summoned Charred Berserkir adds using Staff of the Wild root entanglements.

Loot drops and Forsaken Power blessing

Defeating Fader awards the Fader Trophy and the mysterious Fader Relic (required for Deep North progression in future updates).

Activating Fader's Forsaken Power at the Starting Stones grants +10% movement speed and +30 bonus carrying weight, plus passive resistance to elemental damage.
